As of June 2, 2020, Wisconsin continues to report the lowest percentage of positive COVID-19 tests among the five midwestern states with 6.8% of the tests returning positive. Wisconsin’s percentage of positive tests is just under the median for all states, which has also been steadily decreasing. Illinois leads the midwest with 7.25% of the population being tested for COVID-19. Wisconsin has now tested 4.65% of the population, which is not far below the median of 4.77% for all states.
Wisconsin is still seeing a decreasing trend in the percentage of COVID-19 positive patients being hospitalized, as well as the rate of hospitalized patients being admitted to the ICU.
