COVIDTracking.com has launched a new state grading criteria that takes into account various metrics to grade a state's COVID-19 situation. The grade is focused on reporting quality.  Criteria used includes:

  1. Reporting – Data completeness, reliability, machine-readability
  2. Testing Data Completeness – Total number of daily positives and negatives, as well as the total number of tests completed
  3. Patient Outcomes – Reporting for the number of hospitalized patients, ICU treatments, ventilator status, and recovery rates
  4. Demographics – includes pre-existing conditions, ethnic categories, and racial categories (for both cases and deaths)
  5. Other meaningful categories – i.e. hospital capacity

As of May 26, 2020, Wisconsin’s overall score is an A+ due to the metrics being reported by Wisconsin DHS.
