As of June 10, 2020, Wisconsin continues to report the lowest percentage of positive COVID-19 tests among the five midwestern states with 5.8% of the tests returning positive. Indiana has the highest percentage of positive cases in the midwest at 12.1%. Wisconsin’s percentage of positive tests is below the median for all states, with both numbers steadily decreasing.
Illinois is leading the midwest with 8.53% of the population being tested for COVID-19. Wisconsin has tested 6.3% of their population, which is now above the median for all states (6.07%).
Wisconsin is still seeing a decreasing trend in the percentage of COVID-19 positive patients being hospitalized, as well as the rate of hospitalized patients being admitted to the ICU. The percentage of positive COVID-19 patients for the median for all states continues to decrease.

- The target number of tests done daily remains at 100% of the goal, with a 7-day average of 12,265 tests. The 14-day trend of COVID-19 positive cases has been decreasing.
- Wisconsin is now reporting “minimal” influenza like illnesses.
- ICU bed availability is rated as “normal,” as is hospital bed availability.
- Wisconsin is seeing a 41-day doubling time for incidence of COVID-19, a rate which has been steadily increasing. Increasing indicates the infection rate is slowing.
- Nationwide: No states are reporting extremely low ICU bed availability; only Rhode Island is reporting extremely low hospital bed availability.
