As of May 21, 2020, Wisconsin continues to report the lowest percentage of positive COVID-19 tests among the five midwestern states with 8.0% of the tests returning positive. The median for all states has decreased to 7.9% of all COVID-19 tests returning as positive and has been steadily decreasing.
A common trend between Wisconsin and the median for all states is that the percentage of COVID-19 positive patients being hospitalized is decreasing. The percentage of COVID-19 patients being hospitalized in Wisconsin has decreased 13% since April 13 and among those hospitalized, 3% fewer are being admitted to the ICU.
