Newest DOL Publication Adds FAQs 89 Through 93

On May 7, 2020, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) added five new answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help employers comply with requirements set by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). The new questions address a variety of topics, including:

  • Eligibility of domestic workers for FFCRA leave;
  • Joint employment issues for temporary workers assigned to employers with fewer than 500 employees;
  • Childcare eligibility for FFCRA leave due to a change of circumstances or school closures due to summer vacation; and
  • Whether employers can require employees to provide documentation on when they ask for FFCRA leave to seek diagnosis of or treatment for COVID-19.
