HR Compliance Bulletin: DOL Regulations for Families First Coronavirus Response Act

This overview of the Department of Labor’s Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) regulations will bring you current as of today (April 8, 2020) on the workings of the Act. It answers many questions we have been receiving and includes welcome clarification on the question of whether a childcare provider must be paid. 

For example, it clarifies that an expanded definition of child care provider applies:

“Under the FFCRA, the eligible child care provider need not be compensated or licensed if he or she is a family member or friend, such as a neighbor, who regularly cares for the employee's child.”
