Resources for State-Mandated Leave Programs

Prudential collected information on updates to state disability and leave laws in response to COVID-19. Affected states include:

  • California – waives the waiting period and updates the definition of serious health condition.
  • Rhode Island – removes the medical certification requirement and eliminates the seven-day waiting period.
  • New Jersey – issued a chart illustrating benefit availability in numerous situations related to COVID-19.
  • Washington – issued an FAQ for employees and employers.
