Prudential collected information on updates to state disability and leave laws in response to COVID-19. Affected states include:
- California – waives the waiting period and updates the definition of serious health condition.
- Rhode Island – removes the medical certification requirement and eliminates the seven-day waiting period.
- New Jersey – issued a chart illustrating benefit availability in numerous situations related to COVID-19.
- Washington – issued an FAQ for employees and employers.
