Hausmann Group is proud to celebrate Jay Zahn, Director of Surety, on being named a 2026 C‑Level Award honoree by The Daily Reporter, one of Wisconsin’s leading business and construction publications. The recognition places Jay among a select group of executives across the state who exemplify outstanding leadership, integrity, and community impact.
Jay was formally recognized at the 2026 C‑Level Awards celebration held in Milwaukee, alongside other distinguished leaders from across Wisconsin’s construction, real estate, and business communities.
Since joining Hausmann Group in 2021, Jay has played a critical role in strengthening and growing the organization’s surety practice. With more than two decades of experience in surety and bonding, including time as a senior underwriter and bond specialist, Jay brings deep technical knowledge paired with a highly relational leadership style.
As Director of Surety, Jay leads with the belief that true leadership starts with listening. His approach centers on empathy, collaboration, and empowering others to succeed; values that have driven meaningful growth within Hausmann Group’s surety team and across the broader organization.
Colleagues regularly describe Jay as someone who leads by example and creates an environment where people are supported, challenged, and encouraged to do their best work. This people‑first mindset was a key factor cited in his C‑Level Award recognition.
Jay’s influence extends far beyond his day‑to‑day role at Hausmann Group. He is deeply involved in Wisconsin’s construction and business communities, serving in leadership and board roles with organizations such as:
- Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin (ABC of WI)
- Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA)
- Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin and Milwaukee (AGC)
His commitment to service previously earned him the Wes Meilahn Memorial Award from ABC of Wisconsin in 2020, an honor recognizing individuals who best exemplify dedication, integrity, and service to the industry.
Jay is also a co‑founder of Operations Hometown Heroes, further demonstrating his dedication to making a positive impact in the community and supporting causes larger than himself.
While Jay is known for preferring to let results speak louder than accolades, his C‑Level Award serves as meaningful recognition of the leadership values he practices every day. It reflects not only his professional accomplishments, but also the trust he has earned from colleagues, clients, and peers throughout Wisconsin’s business community.
As The Daily Reporter notes, honorees are selected for their ability to combine strong performance with ethical leadership and community engagement — qualities Jay consistently demonstrates in everything he does.
Everyone at Hausmann Group joins in congratulating Jay Zahn on this outstanding achievement. His leadership continues to make a positive difference for our clients, our team members, and our industry, and this recognition from The Daily Reporter is a fitting tribute to the impact he has made.
Congratulations, Jay!
