COVID-19 Data Tracker Update as of September 14, 2020

As of September 14, 2020, Wisconsin is reporting a rate of 6.9% for positive COVID-19 tests. Among the five midwestern states, Michigan has the lowest rate at 4.0%. The Midwest’s percentage of positive tests is below the median for all states (Midwest: 6.8%, median for all states: 7.1%).

Below is a look at Wisconsin’s two-day net change in COVID-19 positive rates in addition to hospitalizations and fatalities.

Looking at counties within Wisconsin grouped by region, many are seeing an uptick in COVID-19 positive rates. Presumably, students returning to college are the drivers for the spike in positive tests in Wisconsin counties where there is a major University of Wisconsin campus.
