Society Insurance Clients: Sales Reduction Credit for Restaurants and Bars

Attention clients with Society Insurance: Society wants to help with your cash flow during this difficult time. All restaurants and bars currently insured with Society Insurance can get a one-time credit on their general liability premiums. Simply contact your agent here at Hausmann-Johnson Insurance to let us know that you anticipate a reduction in your receipts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will submit the request on your behalf to Society and your premiums will then be adjusted accordingly.

We understand the challenges and hardships that our restaurant and bar customers are facing. That's why we are implementing the following procedures for immediate use by agent request.

Reduced General Liability Insurance Premiums for Restaurants & Bars

As restaurants and bars experience lower sales, agents may request a credit based on the policyholder's estimate of the sales reduction during a government order. Credit will be granted by agent request only and applies only to the general liability premium. Simply confirm the estimated reduction in sales with your agent and have them submit the request.

To process this credit, we will need the policyholder's estimate of the percent of sales reduction from the time when on-premises dining was prohibited by government order.

Workers Compensation Payroll Reduction for Restaurants & Bars

As a reminder, we will accept endorsement requests for reductions in payroll. Please confirm the reduction with your agent and have them submit these requests.

Please contact your trusted advisor at Hausmann-Johnson Insurance for further information.
