The Families First Coronavirus Response Act obligates some employers to comply with new employment practices and offer new paid leave programs on April 2, 2020. The paid leave programs come with tax offsets in which employers will be able to participate.
While some details of how the Act works are clear, many are unclear. We anticipate the United States Department of Labor will create guidance for employers in the next week that will address many of those unclear areas. We will continue to provide updates as the information becomes available.
