OSHA Enforcement of State Mask Mandate

I was recently part of an alliance meeting with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Safety Committee and Wisconsin OSHA Area Directors. One of the hot topic questions was, "Will OSHA be enforcing the Wisconsin statewide mask mandate?" In short, OSHA will not be going around to job sites just to observe and enforce the mandate, but they may ask questions about the plans you have in place for protecting workers on the job site. That being said, it is the employer's responsibility to protect workers from unsafe conditions. If you are not currently using the social distancing guidelines, you need to establish a plan. The plan then needs to be communicated to and understood by all workers on site.
