Next week April 6-10th there will be a COVID-19 Safety Stand-Down.
This declaration is in response to a recent meeting between Associated General Contractors of Wisconin and Governor Evers. During the March 31st meeting, Governor Evers emphasized that “Safety is Job #1” during this time of crisis. Governor Evers also stressed the important role that construction plays in Wisconsin’s economy and is committed to keeping construction going as an essential business.
Contractors across the state are encouraged to hold a daily (5-10 minute) Safety Stand-Down meeting to educate and inform their workers on preventing the spread of COVID-19 on the jobsite. See below for a jobsite poster and five toolbox talks you can use to educate your workforce on COVID-19. The Safety Stand-Down Week is just one of many ways AGC of Wisconsin and AGC Greater Milwaukee are working with member contractors to educate and promote COVID-19 safe jobsites.
