Amy Niemetscheck is the President & CEO of Certco, Inc. Certco is a retailer owned wholesale distributor serving independent grocers, located in Madison, Wisconsin. Amy joined Certco in 2011 as Controller in the finance area, and advanced into the Executive Vice President & CFO role in 2014. In March of 2019, she was elected as President & CEO by the Certco Board of Directors. She has focused on the following during her career at Certco: efficiency improvements, technology advances, building scalable programming for our retailers, was part of warehouse expansions and building a new fleet maintenance facility. She has built a strong team and values transparency, accountability and leads by making data driven decisions.

 

Prior to joining Certco, Amy was a CPA by trade and learned early in her career in public accounting that it’s the people and interaction with customers that drives businesses to succeed. She attributes the experience of seeing multiple manufacturers and distributors during her time in public accounting to her solid business sense, and more importantly, the necessary listening skills to truly respond to customer needs.

Amy has been a member of the NGA Board since 2020. She serves as a member of the Executive Committee, Investment Committee, and the recent strategic planning committee. In addition, Amy serves on the Women Grocers of America board, and is also the current Vice Chairwoman and a member on the ROFDA Board of Directors. In 2019, Amy was named National Woman Executive of the year by The Shelby Report.

Director of Growth Strategies | Teel Plastic

Christian Herrild is In-house Counsel for Teel Plastics as well as Director of Growth Strategies. In this role, he evaluates technologies and market developments, manages the project management department, and develops the strategic plan, as well as providing overall legal advice and compliance functions for the company. Previously, Christian was Teel’s Director of Sales and Marketing and managed sales and customer service. Christian works closely with Teel’s Human Resources department on employment issues and policies and has oversight authority for company safety programs.

Christian graduated cum laude from University of Wisconsin – Madison Law School in 2012 and earned his MBA from the UW School of Business in 2011. He has a strong technical background, with undergraduate degrees in both Mathematics and Chemistry from Marquette University. Outside of Teel, Christian is the Past President of the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the St. Clare Foundation, and Chair of the Power and Communications Division of the Plastics Pipe Institute.

Jason joined the team in 2022 as a Claims Resolution Strategist specializing in Worker’s Compensation. Before joining Hausmann Group, he was the Director of Safety & Compliance at a multi-state temporary staffing/recruiting, HR Consulting & PEO organization. His 15+ years of experience in workers’ compensation and return-to-work strategies has given him a knack for walking the tightrope between protecting the organization and doing what is right, while also treating employees with respect and empathy.  Workers’ compensation has always been one of Jason’s favorite focus areas, and he’s excited to bring his experience and knowledge to HG clients. Fun fact: He can come up with a light duty solution for (practically) any scenario.   

Jason thrives in a space where he is helping clients navigate the claims process and working toward favorable outcomes on all ends.  He appreciates being an extension of a client’s team by taking work off their plate to allow them to focus on their business and sleep better at night.

John Oliver

John Oliver joined the team in 2022 as Manager of Property & Casualty Claims. Prior to joining Hausmann Group he spent 15 years working for a handful of insurance carriers including Church Mutual, QBE, and NSI. John’s career focus has been on providing risk management and claim mitigation support to clients of all shapes and sizes. He’s been fortunate to collaborate with a wide array of insurance professionals in Claims, Risk Control, Underwriting, and Marketing. 

John graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Business with double majors in Risk Management, Insurance and Real Estate, and Urban Land Economics. He’s a Certified Authority in Workers’ Compensation. In his role as manager, he leads the claims service team and collaborates with the HG Risk Control department to deliver the best experience for clients. John is passionate about leading teams, creating efficiencies, and learning as much as he can.

Phil McQuillen is a Claims Manager for Sentry Insurance, located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Phil joined Sentry in 2005 as a Claims Representative, and advanced to the Claims Manager role in 2018. Prior to joining Sentry, he was active in the workforce, having served in the United States Marine Corps and employed as a Carpenter, prior to entering college. Phil’s perspective and firsthand experience in the workforce provides a unique perspective on the claims his team handles and creates a connection with employers and injured workers alike.  

Phil graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in 2003 with a major in Broadfield Social Studies and minor in History. Phil’s career focus has been on collaborating and sharing his knowledge, experience, and expertise with his customers and partners. Phil finds satisfaction in listening and understanding his customer’s needs and ensuring they are well-informed and engaged throughout the claims handling process.

Vice President, Safety & Human Resources Director | Zignego Company

Tony Zignego is Vice President, Safety & Human Resources Director for Zignego Company, Inc. in Waukesha. Originally, a one truck operation in 1954, Zignego now specializes in concrete paving, grading, and aggregate recycling with three sister corporations and has been an ABC-WI member since 1981. Tony received a B.A. from the University of WI-Milwaukee in 2007 and a M.A. in history from the University of WI-Milwaukee in 2009 and is the author of the 2009 historical book, Milwaukee's Italian Heritage: Mediterranean Roots in Midwestern Soil.

Tony previously served as a project manager for Zignego for 10 years and has been on a variety of WTBA committees and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association (WCPA). Well versed in the strengths and challenges of being a merit shop contractor, Tony has previously served on the ABC Apprenticeship Committee, ABC Hiring Taskforce and currently is the ABC representative on the state masonry and construction laborer committees and has been an active member of the ABC Inclusion Committee since it’s inception along with the ABC Education Focus Group.

Rick Barton

 

Rick has more than 20 years of experience in safety and risk control, working with clients in many industries including Construction, Mining, Trucking, Manufacturing, and Hospitality. He specializes in assessing risk for the clients of Hausmann Group to reduce loss potential. Through safety assessments and loss analysis, Rick develops solutions which include safety management techniques, training, and engineering. Additionally, he has been asked to speak at local and national safety conferences on topics such as "How to Manage Safety on a Jobsite," and "What it takes to be a Safety Leader."

Rick is an Authorized Instructor of OSHA Regulations Construction and General Industry Regulations. He is an active member of the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association (WTBA), Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), the Wisconsin chapter of The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), and the Association of General Contractors (AGC). He is also on the Advisory Board of the Safety Studies Department at the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater.

Susan V. Barranco is an attorney licensed to practice in Wisconsin and Illinois who serves as a business advisor and advocate with an emphasis on workers’ compensation litigation. She works as a defense attorney and managing partner for Barranco Legal, ltd., a firm she founded in February 2024. In addition, Susan is an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School, where she teaches the workers’ compensation course.

Before starting her own practice, Susan spent over 11 years with one of the largest insurance defense litigation firms in the Midwest, rising to shareholder. In that time, she opened and served as the managing partner for the firm’s branch office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Lake Forest College in 2004. Susan earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, graduating in the top 10% of her class from Marquette University Law School, where she gave the valedictory address at commencement, served as Chief Justice to the Moot Court board, and placed first in the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition in 2011—where she shared the prize for best brief and was awarded the prize for best oral argument.

Susan, a Milwaukee native, resides in the Jacobus Park neighborhood of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, with her wife Chloe, and their children, Beatrice and August.
